Birmingham’s Michelin-starred Simpsons is hosting a dinner created by one of Britain’s most highly-regarded up-and-coming chefs.
Gareth Ward might not yet have the profile enjoyed by other Michelin-starred chefs, but has a growing reputation among foodies.
His Welsh restaurant Ynyshir Hall was listed in the Sunday Times Top 100.
Gareth worked previously at at Hambleton Hall and Restaurant Sat Bains.
Gareth’s modern style and use of innovative techniques and unusual ingredients will ensure guests’ taste-buds are well and truly tantalised at the dinner on Sunday April 30.
Diners can expect dishes such as Gareth’s ’Not French Onion Soup’, – an umami packed flavour-bomb’, and his sourdough bread served with miso-cultured butter and Welsh Wagyu beef dripping.
The dinner will be priced at £65 per person and Simpsons has a few tables available between 7-9pm.
Then there’s Mark
Following Gareth will be Mark Poynton, former Great British Menu contestant and the chef behind Alimentum, the acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant in Cambridge.
Mark also has experience working in a two Michelin-starred restaurant, having worked under Daniel Clifford at Midsummer House before to taking over Alimentum.
He will be joining forces with the Simpsons team on Monday May 22 to produce a six-course dinner, featuring three of his signature dishes and three dishes prepared by Simpsons chef director, Luke Tipping.
Priced at £70 per person, diners will enjoy the very best from two Michelin starred restaurants.
