Take a look at the new dishes at the British Oak

Take a look at the new dishes at the British Oak in Stirchley as it continues its transformation into one of the city’s hottest food and drink destinations.

The historic pub was taken over earlier this year by Keith Marsden, who also runs the award-winning Prince of Wales and Dark Horse pubs in Moseley as well as the newly-launched Cheval Blanc wine bar.
He and his team at the Humble Pub Company have ambitious plans for the Grade II listed landmark in Pershore Road.
A fantastic outdoor space has already been created and the interior is being transformed.
Meanwhile, Paul Maders, executive chef with the Humble Pub Company, has just launched a new summer menu.

It includes pub classics and more sophisticated dishes.
“We’re aiming for good solid British dishes but are taking it up to the next level as we develop,” said Paul.
“We’ll change the menu seasonally and are trying to use good, local suppliers when possible.”
There are plenty of vegetarian options and smaller options for kids.
