Take a look at the most expensive biscuit in Brum

It’s made from gold and chocolate and is the dearest cookie in Birmingham.

Hand-made and decorated, the 23-carat gold cookie comprises a chocolate-chip cookie and is topped with Hershey’s chocolate that is draped in a gold sheet and sprinkled with gold flakes.

The new product from Monkey Cookies costs £23 and is the latest flavour to be stocked exclusively in Selfridges Birmingham.
They can be bought individually or be included as part of a 15-cookie tin selection.
The core range of cookies have been flying off the shelves as customers snap up the treats filled with Kinder chocolate, Nutella, Cookies n Creme, Hershey pieces and soft marshmallow.
Selfridges Birmingham general manager Sam Watts said: “Our discerning customers love unexpected products and innovative ranges so we are thrilled to be the only stockist of the 23-carat gold cookie.
“It’s a real treat for any cookie lover.”
Monkey Cookies started in 2012, when Abdullah Al Ansari began baking in his kitchen in Kuwait.
In just five years, the operation has grown and is now sold in more than 60 locations all over the Gulf and in Selfridges Birmingham and London.
