Some of the dishes at Birmingham’s first kebab festival

Birmingham’s first kebab festival takes place this weekend.

Street food pioneer Taste and Liquor has organised Kebabingham which takes place in Digbeth’s SK Cash and Carry on Saturday September 30.
There’ll be music, cocktails and Purity and Kosel beers.

The menu includes

Lebanese falafel, guacamole, lime salsa, lemon hummus and mixed leave.
Free-range chicken, fresh guacamole, mixed olives, lime salsa, sun dried tomatoes, jalapeños, feta and mixed leaves.
Free-range chicken, chipotle en adobo hot sauce, scotch bonnet slaw and mixed leaves.
Vegan Chick’n Kebab – soya chick’n strips, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onion, vegan mayo and sweet chilli sauce served in a wrap (gluten free option available).
Shaved Lamb Kebab – smokey masala marinade, tomato, chilli, coriander.
Charred chicken thighs in a chipotle chilli tandoori marinade served with pomegranate, red onion, carrot slaw.
