Simpsons is celebrating landing the highest position of any Birmingham restaurant in this year’s National Restaurant Awards.
The Michelin-starred restaurant achieved 56th place in the UK Top 100 organised by Restaurant Magazine.
The restaurant is offering diners a special new menu for 56 days.
Simpsons has introduced a five-course menu priced at £56, available for both lunch and dinner from Sunday to Friday.
Luke Tipping, chef director, is delighted with the result, which follows the refurbishment of the restaurant in autumn last year and the introduction of a new more relaxed environment.
He said: “The refurbishment breathed new life into the restaurant and in recent months I’ve realised just how much we’ve changed.
“Not only do we have a new look but we are essentially operating as a new restaurant now – which makes the recognition all the more satisfying.”
Carters of Moseley also made the list, placing in 91st.
