Funky newcomer Nosh & Quaff has been named the best casual dining destination in Birmingham.
The city centre bar and restaurant topped the public vote in its category in the awards scheme run by nationwide leisure website DesignMyNight.
Nosh & Quaff director Jabbar Khan – who also runs Lasan, Fiesta del Asado, Lasan and Raja Monkey – was delighted by the honour.
He said: “We opened only last July so to receive this accolade so quickly is a superb achievement.
“To win this award in a city as vibrant as Birmingham is fantastic.
“It’s a recognition of the hard work, talent, passion and commitment of the whole team.
“But we won’t relax – we’re determined to make Nosh & Quaff even better.”
The venue was launched last summer after an over £1.3 million refurbishment of a listed but neglected building overlooking Victoria Square in an area rapidly becoming the city’s food and drink hub.
Its decor is an eye-catching cocktail of edgy contemporary and original features, with superb first-floor views over Victoria Square.
Nosh & Quaff offers lobster, ribs, hotdogs and other no-nonsense dishes, with craft beers, fine wines and Champagne.
The DesignMyNight awards are the biggest public-only voting awards competition in the country and this year attracted more than 20,000 votes.
Four million users a month visit the site.
