Birmingham’s newest pop-up is offering a tasty trip down memory lane.
A Lost Society has been set up by Josh Porter, who will be cooking up dishes from the past.
His business partner is Jade Hollingworth, who will look after front-of-house.
He said: “We are a new pop-up using ideology based upon the Prohibition Era but also modernising dishes that myself and my girlfriend used to eat as children.
“Our aim is to educate, excite and evoke memories for all our guests.”
The first event takes place on April 9 at 6/8 Kafe at Millennium Point.
Josh and Jade plan to run one there every week.
The menu at the first pop-up will include consomme; ceviche of trout, pea and wasabi sorbet; lamb, sauce paloise, asparagus, potato rissolle; and lemon tart.
The price £30 per head
Guests can take their own booze.

Josh explained: “After working in various starred restaurants in Birmingham and London, I wanted to go whole heartedly into this venture with Jade.
“One of the dishes I have created for the pop up is Eat me!! Drink me!! I Must Be In Wonderland!! – consisting of a classic orange-based trifle and a lemon drizzle cake cocktail.
There’s Generations of Beef – using different cuts cooked in completely different ways to represent how people’s perceptions of how beef should be cooked have changed over the years
“And Banana Sandwich – something I was also made as a kid and I want to bring that into the 21st century in a surprising way.”
