Simpsons has confirmed that the team at the legendary Lake District restaurant l’Enclume will be taking over the kitchen in its Guest Chef dinner on Monday January 30.
The dinner follows the Michelin-starred Edgbaston venue’s hugely successful collaboration with Sticky Walnut in November.
The Sticky Walnut dinner sold out within three hours of being announced on social media and the team expects similar levels of demand for the L’Enclume dinner.
L’Enclume has held two Michelin stars since 2012 and has secured the top spot in The Good Food Guide for four years running.
It will be the first time that the multi-award winning restaurant team will cook in Birmingham.
Chef director Luke Tipping is looking forward to welcoming the team to his restaurant: “L’Enclume has long been one of my favourite restaurants and it deserves all the accolades it receives.
“I learnt so much working there earlier this year that I wanted to bring some of that magic to Simpsons.
“The dinner will not only provide a unique opportunity for Birmingham diners to experience L’Enclume’s stunning food but it will be a fantastic experience for my team to work alongside its chefs.”
The eight-course tasting menu, priced at £90 per person, will be created and prepared entirely by the L’Enclume chefs, supported by Simpsons.
Table reservations will be available from 7pm and a non-refundable deposit will be required when booking.
Further guest chef dinners will be announced in early 2017.
