Birmingham’s annual Love Wine Festival is about to hit town – and my readers can get a 20% discount on their tickets.
The event on Saturday November 11 at the Burlington Hotel in the heart of the city brings together between 30 and 40 exhibitors.
There are more than 200 wines available to taste, offering you the chance to sample bottles from Australia, Brazil, Georgia, California , France, Italy, Spain, England and elsewhere.
There’s also cheese, charcuterie and chocolate.
Organised by local professionals BYWine, it’s an unstuffy extravaganza that’s perfect for wine rookies and for those who already know a bit about vino but want to learn more.
There are masterclasses on a variety of topics – including the legendary Australia producer Penfolds, the glory of Champagne and modern wine-making in Spain.
Experts will be on hand to offer guided walks around the stands.
It’s a great way to start your festive wine shopping early.
Wine communicator and writer Simon Woods will be launching his latest book, 101 Wine FAQ, and will be poised to answer any questions.
The day is split into two sessions – 12pm until 3pm, then 4pm until 7pm.
Organiser Laura Clay said: “This event is all about fun and enjoying everything about wine, with a little bit of learning thrown in if you want it.
“Session Two is close to selling out so don’t delay if you want tickets.
“But Session One has much to recommend it – it’s quieter, the wines, exhibitors and your palate are at their freshest and there are three exquisite masterclasses.”
Tickets are priced £20 for the first session and £25 for the second, or £15/£18.75 for group bookings.
But you can get a 20% discount* simply by using the exclusive code below:
