Birmingham’s most iconic building will be throwing open its doors to wine-lovers for a tasting that will feature bottles from around the world.
The long-established family-run firm Connolly’s Wine Merchants will be holding its annual Christmas tasting in the Library of Birmingham’s glorious Book Rotunda – the huge circular space at the heart of the internationally-acclaimed building.
The event takes place from 5.50-8.30pm on Thursday, November 5.
Tickets cost £12.50 per person, which includes a tasting booklet plus a £5 voucher to be redeemed against the price of a case of wine.
There will be other special offers on the night.
The tasting will feature between 12-15 stands offering up to 15 different wines each. Beers and Sibling Gin will also be available for tasting.
Chris Connolly, owner of the company, said: “We are privileged to have been able to secure the library for our annual event.
“It is a fantastic, iconic space that lends itself really to the relaxed, informal style of tasting we are hosting.”
Previous Christmas tastings, held at other locations, have sold out quickly, so customers are being urged to book quickly.
