Champagne, ping pong, hi-tech pub quizzing and Caribbean flavours are on the menu at the Opus venues this autumn, with a packed diary of events.

Opus at Cornwall Street
Champagne Dinner hosted by Laurent-Perrier – Friday September 25 from 7pm
Champagne corks will be popping at a dinner with Laurent-Perrier at Opus at Cornwall Street. The restaurant will be serving a four course dinner, with a champagne pairing at each course. Representatives from Laurent-Perrier will speak about the history of the brand and the flavours that complement different dishes. Tickets cost £85 and are very limited.

An Evening with Chase Distillery – Saturday September 12 from 7.30pm
Chase Distillery, whose vodka was recently voted the world’s best, partners Bar Opus for an exclusive evening event. The Herefordshire distillery will be offering samples of its products, whilst perfectly pairing them with canapes cooked by Bar Opus chefs. Tickets cost £40 and can be bought on 0121 289 3939.
Speed Quizzing – Every Tuesday from 7pm
Bar Opus is hosting weekly speed quizzing events… no pens and paper needed and nobody marking your answers. All players need to bring is one smartphone per team. Free entry and the winning team wins a £50 bar tab.
Cocktail Masterclass – Every Saturday from 6pm
Budding mixologists are being given the opportunity to learn how to create cocktails with an intimate masterclass at Bar Opus at One Snowhill. Bar manager Sam Cross will teach how to mix, shake and stir drinks from the ordinary into the extraordinary. Classes are one hour and cost £15 per person. To book, call 0121 289 3939.
Come Vinyl With Me – Friday September 4 from 7pm
Bring your own records and be the DJ. Enjoy 10 minute slots to play music of your choice at Cafe Opus on the first Friday of every month. Strictly vinyl but musically, anything goes.
Ping Pong Tournament – Sunday September 6 from 3pm
Bat it out for the chance to be crowned Birmingham’s ping pong master, where the winner getting a free bottle of prosecco also. Entry is free. To sign up, pop into the cafe and fill out the sign-up sheet.
Caribbean Sunday Lunch – Sunday September 20 from 1pm
To celebrate Vanley Burke’s exhibition At Home With Vanley Burke at Ikon Gallery, Cafe Opus will be hosting a Jamaican Sunday lunch which will include Vanley’s own-recipe jerk chicken, using locally-reared birds from Redditch and fresh vegetables from his personal allotment in Handsworth. Sea Life Centre Special Offer – All day, every day
When two adults eat at Cafe Opus, two kids eat for free. This offer is in conjunction with a trip to the neighbouring Sea Life Centre.
