A six-course taste of asparagus at The Cross

The Cross in Kenilworth, Warwickshire’s only Michelin-starred restaurant, is offering a tasting menu dedicated to British asparagus this June.

On Wednesday June 7, diners will be offered a six-course menu with the focus on Britain’s most anticipated green vegetable.
Whilst British garden asparagus will take centre stage, some dishes will also feature white asparagus.
The menu will be accompanied by two suggested wine flights – featuring white, rose and red wines to match the different qualities of each dish.

Duck egg and asparagus
The Cross’s chef director Adam Bennett said: “With a season so short, I always want to make the most of British asparagus when it is available.
“I’ve travelled throughout Europe and worked in several top European restaurants but I’ve yet to find an asparagus taste as good as what we grow here so this year I wanted to give this delicious vegetable the billing it deserves.”
Whilst asparagus dishes will be available on The Cross in Kenilworth’s menu from the beginning of May until mid-June, the tasting menu (to be enjoyed by the whole table) will be available for one night only.
Priced at £65 per person with wine flights priced at £35 and £65.
Reservations are now being taken for lunch and dinner on Wednesday June 7, call 01926 853 840 or email enquiries@thecrosskenilworth.co.uk to book your table.
