Niki Astley’s pioneering pop-up Salt & Earth will be serving an eclectic selection of dishes at thriving Jewellery Quarter bar and kitchen 1000 Trades.
The month-long residency will run lunchtimes and evenings from February 5 until March 3 at the venue.
Niki has been experimenting with the Salt & Earth concept since closing his renowned Jewellery Quarter restaurant Two Cats Kitchen last year – serving street food plates and fine dining dishes, often influenced by Latin American and Japanese food.

At 1000 Trades, he will be inviting selected chefs to join him and offer one of their own dishes on various days.
Fifty per cent of the seats at Salt & Earth’s residency at 1000 Trades will be available for booking, with the rest open for walk-ins.

Niki and his team will be serving food between 12-4pm and 5pm until close each day.
He said: “We recommend three dishes per person, one from each section more or less.”
